Kisik Choi (Invited)
Senior Manager, Advanced Logic Process Integration, IBM
Dr. Kisik Choi is a Senior Manager at IBM Research in Albany, New York, overseeing process integration of platform transistors, interconnects, and power distribution networks. Since August 2025, he has led the advancement of nanosheet transistor technology for 2 nm and beyond, coordinating FEOL/MOL/BEOL development in collaboration with Rapidus, and previously managed the advanced interconnect technologies BEOL group on sub-20 nm patterning, new interconnect materials, and scaling schemes.
Before joining IBM, he served as Research Fellow / Vice President at SK hynix, leading HKMG technology for DRAM peripheral circuits and 28 nm logic development, and earlier worked at GlobalFoundries and in the IBM research alliance as a high-k/metal gate expert contributing to advanced logic nodes.
A Senior Member of IEEE and Executive Committee member of the IEEE IITC conference, he has authored or co-authored over 100+ publications and 100+ patents. Dr. Choi received his B.S. and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Seoul National University and his Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Texas Tech University.
