Dr. Gaurav Gupta is a VP Analyst in the Emerging Technologies and Trends Compute Devices team. Dr. Gupta works closely with leaders across the globe, providing strategic advice on a broad spectrum of topics:
1. Semiconductors - Leading-edge Process Technologies, Chip Fabrication & Design, Supply Chain, Geopolitics, Advanced Packaging, AI analytics, Capital spending and foundry
2. Automotive- Autonomous vehicles, Software-defined Vehicles, Automotive cloud, and Vehicle E/E Architecture
3. Quantum Computing – Technology, Current and future state, Technology and Vendor landscape
4. Energy Efficient Compute- Future compute for AI/GenAI, Data Center cooling solutions, Custom Silicon

Dr. Gupta has a solid understanding of emerging markets, having worked extensively with both startups and large corporations. He has made numerous presentations on various topics across platforms and conferences. Previous Experience

Prior to joining Gartner, Dr. Gupta worked as a Knowledge Expert at McKinsey & Co. where he advised clients across the globe in the semiconductor and electronics industry with a focus on business transformation (cost, operations, and growth) and product strategy (launch/development/planning). He has a strong technical background in the semiconductor industry in process, yield, R&D, and integration, having worked at Intel and IBM prior to the stint with McKinsey & Co.
