Sooseong Kim

Sooseong Kim, Ph.D. has been CTO at KEC for 2 years, with responsibility for new technology development and new product release. For the automotive market, automotive-grade IGBT and SiCMOSFET have been released. 

Prior to joining KEC, Sooseong was in the CEO position at Power Master Semiconductor. During his one year at Power Master Semiconductor, Sooseong spent time on new technology development, new business model creation, and stabilization of the manufacturing site. A new generation of SiC MOSFET was achieved, with the specific on-resistance decreased by around 30%. 

Sooseong received Ph.D., MS, and BS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea. He studied power devices and co-worked with Samsung. As a result, he contributed to the development of IGBT for the first time in Korea.
