Sunghoon Lee, Ph.D. is Senior Vice President and Head of R&D Process at SK Hynix, where he leads the development of next-generation DRAM and NAND technologies and defines the company’s long term roadmap.
He has been instrumental in advancing the semiconductor industry through driving strategic collaborations with global partners in equipment and materials.
In recognition of his contributions to the semiconductor industry, he received the Minister’s Commendation on Semiconductor Day in 2019.
Prior to his current role, Sunghoon Lee held several leadership positions within the company. He was Head of Infra Technology, where he oversaw operations of critical R&D infrastructure and materials. He was also Head of Etch Process Group, where he identified the limitations of current etch technology, defined necessary features for next-generation processes, and prepared for them in collaboration with equipment suppliers.
Sunghoon Lee holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Yonsei University.
