Dave Porter

Dave Porter has served as Executive Director of the Williamson County Economic Development Partnership since October 2022. In this role, he leads efforts to attract, retain, and expand high-wage employers, while supporting strategic initiatives that promote long-term economic growth and investment in Williamson County. 

Prior to joining the Williamson County Economic Development Partnership, Porter served as Senior Vice President of Economic Development at the Austin Chamber of Commerce. During his 11 years with the Austin Chamber, he worked closely with domestic and international companies on corporate relocations and expansions, including major global technology firms such as Samsung, and supported regional business growth initiatives across Central Texas. 

Porter received a degree in Business Administration from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas, and holds an Economic Development certification from the University of Oklahoma. He has more than 35 years of experience in economic development across multiple U.S. markets and brings extensive international experience working with companies in Asia and Europe.
