Mike Young-Han Kim

Mike Young-Han Kim is a leading expert in data science and information theory, and an 11th generation academic descendent of Carl Friedrich Gauss. He is the Founding CEO of Gauss Labs Inc., an industrial AI startup, and a professor at the University of California, San Diego. He has written 2 books, over 120 papers, and several patents on topics spanning data science, machine learning, signal and image processing, data compression, information theory, wireless communications, networking, computational biology, information security, and circuit design. He received his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, and his MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and in Statistics, and PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, all from Stanford University.
